Is Feeling Sentimental the favourite SAB set??

What's your favourite Sale-a-bration stamp set??  It looks like Feeling Sentimental was the early winner in my team as 19 demos swapped cards & 8/19 used this set for our swaps - after receiving my swaps I've changed my mind as to what I like the best but that'll be another post. I've already blogged my swap so here's the other  seven I received. Their names should be linked to there blogs if they have a blog.

First off was from the lovely Lisa Bullock who sent me my own special card as organiser - unfortunately she didn't send enough of the real swap for me to receive one of them but loved my own special card - many thanks Lisa. She's also used one of the SAB freebies, a Sycamore Street Tangerine Tango button on the card.

Then this card is just incredible Vivienne Jones has really made the police box look like a TARDIS flying through space. She's used Illuminate ink & the Outer Space jumbo wheel to create the galaxy & I can assure you this picture does not do the card justice - it's amazing in real life.

One of the first cards I received in the letter box (isn't receiving hand-made cards like Christmas) was from Vanita Hurbuns & I really liked her take on making it vintage with the addition of First Edition DSP & some tearing.

Isn't this a fun card from Irene Wardlaw (who doesn't seem to have a blog), she's also added some of the SAB DSP & buttons (Sycamore Street) which you can also earn for free if none of the stamp sets rock your world. Just love the colour combo - I've always said that SU! DSP is the best colour combo creator - doesn't it look bright & cheerful. The predominant colours are Tangerine Tango & Rich Razzleberry.

Then another vintage card from Delys Cram & she was very kind & snuck in a paper doily (which we have in our new Seasonal catalogue for purchase come February 1st) plus she's used Sycamore Street ribbon & the Vine Street embossing folder on the background - both of these are exclusive to SAB & you can earn them for FREE for every $120 you spend.

Then Christine Palmer (also no blog) created a geometric delight with framelits, the Chevron EF, & the Penny Farthing image. Great masculine card Christine.

Last but not least Ria Kaire (also no blog) - a fabulous brayered & masked card - love the colour combo too Ria. Real Red, Bashful Blue, Gumball Green & Sahara Sand - doesn't this make you feel you're at the seaside & the fair has just come to town. Yep I'm Feeling Sentimental with this card. She's also used the word form another SAB set Blooming Marvelous (and it really is blooming marvelous)

Well hope you enjoyed seeing all of these & we've inspired you to want your own set. Must admit that's the most fun thing about demo swaps is you all have the same stamp set & yet the cards as you can see are all so different.

For those of us in the northern aspects of NZ happy anniversary day - hope yours is going well - I am moving my craft room to a bigger room in the house & knew it was going to be mammoth so hope I don't get lost amongst it all.

Thanks for poppin' in.

Feeling Sentimental?

That's the cool name of one of our Sale-a-bration stamp sets that you can earn for free whilst Sale-a-bration is ongoing. It has 3 vintage stamps (ferris wheel, penny farthing bike & a police box/TARDIS) & also the word Celebrate.

Recently 19 demos from my team swapped cards & ideas with our Sale-a-bration rewards - we've been very lucky & spoilt this year & able to earn them since December - one of the perks of being a demonstrator but you can earn it for FREE now for every $120 you spend until March 22nd.

I wanted to do something vintage-looking so chose the colours River Rock & Always Artichoke to work with (which are a dynamic duo in the colour combo cards). I kept it simple & whipped up some easel cards.

I've also sponged around the edges with River Rock ink & used my Color spritzer with the Always Artichoke marker & distressed the edges a bit to "age it".

Stamp sets: Feeling Sentimental (SAB 2013), En Francais
Ink: River Rock, Always Artichoke
Paper: River Rock, Always Artichoke
Other: Scallop oval punch, large oval punch, Apothecary Accents framelits, dimensionals, sponge dauber, basic pearls, Color Spritzer tool, Stampin' Distress tool
Technique: Easel card

Only one more week to go

Before our fabulous Holiday Mini catalogue is no more (but wait till you see the Seasonal Mini - so, so sensational - it was formerly known as our Autumn-Winter mini). That means you have only SEVEN more days to order from the Holiday mini if there is something you were thinking you'd like to get & there couldn't be a better time than now whilst Sale-a-bration on, as for every $120 you spend you get to choose a reward for free. Check them all out HERE.

One of the very cool things SU! has done with the new Seasonal catalogue is publish what stamp sets & accessories are still available to purchase.

I would assume an omission means that the item or stamp set is not making the next Annual catalogue but that is just an educated guess on my part. Anyhow the following items in the current Holiday Mini Catalogue are not listed as still available, so if you were meaning to buy it or you can't imagine doing without it, you have 7 days to order it as of now & you may earn something free for yourself with a Sale-a-bration reward as well.

Recently some of the ladies in my team the WOW paperKRafters joined me for lunch & we all shared lots of laughs & a project each. Also anyone signing up with me during SAB will also go in the draw to win a 2012-2014 in-colour ribbon bundle ($96.25 RRP) from me.

This is the project I shared on the day stamping on tumbled tiles - I'm rather proud of my wee babies.I feel they really suit the vintage look of the images in the Feeling Sentimental stamp set which is one of the 19 things on offer in Sale-a-bration which we earn for FREE for spending $120 (no limits).

If you haven't checked out the Sale-a-bration catalogue do click HERE what else you could earn for free. And if you'd like to place an order or host a workshop or join my team & have a WOW of a time don't hesitate to contact me thanks.

11 January 2013

2013 is here & a quick catch up for Christmas etc

Hi everyone my last day of holiday for me today but I thought I had time to share my Christmas with you all - hopefully after this I will blog more often. It is funny when you're on holiday you're busier with all those jobs you put off all year ;)

Anyhow without much further ado here was my "official Christmas card for 2012" & yes it used my favourite stampset from the Holiday Mini catalogue Watercolor Winter - I'm a bit gutted as it looks like it is not carrying through (being a demo I have the next mini catalogue in my hands & they actually have listed stamps & accessories that are "still available" so I'm guessing if not available that means it isn't making the new big annual catalogue but it is only a guess on my part. I'll list in my next newsletter which I will send out early next week what is "not available".

Anyhow my official Christmas Card was a take on this ONE but I gold embossed the outline which looked amazing with the Champagne glimmer paper even if I say so myself and I also used my now retired gold Encore ink pad for the flourish.

Other hand made cards I received I collaged as below (from top left to bottom right : many thanks to Judy Beetson, Rachael Knight, Donna Blackmore, Priscilla Trillo, Priscilla Trillo, Joan Hallett, Debbie Lamb & Linda Stewart - LOVE THEM ALL!!!)

Priscilla Trillo was also very busy & she sent me these fabulous quilled works of art & don't I look happy holding up my warrior princess name on Christmas day - KareNZa- many thanks Prissi AKA "Fish"

Just a quick collage of some of what we have been up to. Pre-Christmas we had a fab weekend down in Palmerston North & caught up with Pete's son Keegan - I can highly recommend shopping out of Auckland - it was so stress-free. The views are from the Stormy Point lookout over the Rangitikei Plains

Have we waterblasted or what?? Amazing how much dirt sits on top of the bricks but my boys (Napoleon AKA Napster & Tiger look very happy with the finished product).

My family Christmas : I think the number of shoes show how many of us were present:

And last but not least the Women's final at the ASB Tennis Classic:

I've also been lucky & got to see the closing night of Mary Poppins the musical at the Civic plus see a thrilling T20 cricket match after work with my work mates. And yes I have squeezed in a bit of crafting but will blog that next week. Until then take care all.
