2nd scrapbooking lesson in the weekend

Delys Cram from Whakatane kindly gave my team the WOW paperKRafters our very own personal scrap booking lesson on Sunday morning after blueberry pancakes, fresh melon, creme fraiche & maple syrup for breakfast. Poor Lesley who didn't attend on Saturday couldn't believe how much noise 8 ladies could make - all I can say is she should have heard us the day before.

Delys' layout can be viewed HERE of her daughter's first ballet lesson - mine is of my favourite fur-baby. So many little details Delys adds to her layout to make it special & pop out I hope I've done her proud & yes I have mounted my photo the wrong way - too much talking!

Stamp set: Cottage Wall, Sanded (background stamp)
Ink: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White
Other: Circle Scissors, Laughter and Love rubons, ice rhinestone brads, hemp twine, aquapainter, Rich Razzleberry ribbon, sponges, Timeless Type alphabet & Big Shot, dimensionals

Lazy day at the beach layout

My team had a 6x6" scrapbook layout swaps in the weekend & I've always loved the card in the IB+C on page 68 & thought it would make a cool scrapbook page - now 6x6" are so easy but really effective (& dare I say it quick). I also wanted to showcase my new toy - Circle Scissor Plus (the more I play with it, the more I wonder how I ever did without it).

Stanp set: Just Surfing
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, Pacific Point
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze (& Summer Sun in the real LO)
Other: Hemp twine, dimensionals, circle scissor plus, paper snips (really need good quality snips to cut out those waves & board), word window punch, decorative scissors, sponge

and here's the LO with a gorgeous model - my Pete & for you Aussies that read my blog yes he's reading Mark Waugh!

Just Surfing is phenomenal value only $28.95 for a set of 3 stamps & Circle Scissor Plus is $65.50 & it can cut from 1" to 6" in 1/8" increments! Do contact me if you'd like to know more about either product!

I was really stoked my LO was picked by my team to be the most WOW of the swaps - now how cool is that - Pete was chuffed too as he thought he'd helped me win!

One of my favourite swaps from convention

I have so many great swaps but thought I'd share this one as it's so colourful & it is National Scrapbooking month!

This 6x6" layout was created by Miriam Thomas from Western Australia & the LO and the girl are both just adorable!! She's put so much work into it - totally blows me away. The flowers from Petal Pizzazz look great in the colours from the Raspberry Tart DSP.

Thanks Miriam I LOVE it.

Life's A Breeze!

After yesterday I might have to agree with this sentiment as YAH summer has finally arrived, blue skies, sun & most importantly no wind! So I suppose for me life's NOT a breeze is great.

Our latest demo swap was to create a 6x6" layout. These are so easy, just a few embellishments & viola done. I am a lazy scrap booker at the the best of times & in this digital age maybe just a few prize shots are a reflection of the day.

Here's my swap using the Life's A Breeze stamp set (13 stamps for $66.95, also contains jandals, shells, sunglasses, watermelon & a really cute boat - awesome value).

Stamp sets: Life's A Breeze, Something Fishy (jumbo wheel), Sandy Shells (wheel)
Card stock: Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Creamy Caramel, Naturals Ivory, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Dimensionals

Farewell Tuihaina White

Tui & her family are off to Perth & she will be sorely missed by all us stampers. She took me under her wing at my first card class when my eyes were as big as saucers.

Jacque thought it would be cool to give her a 6x6 page layout of ourself or our favourite recipe for her to take with her on her travels. Which is a GREAT idea. So I found this cool picture of myself in the bush in New Zealand so she can definitely remember what she is leaving behind!

We'll miss you but hopefully we'll all catch up at Convention in Canberra next year; if I can afford to get there. So all the best & definitely Go Confidently in the Direction of your Dreams

Stamp set: Live Your Dream
Card stock: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Afternoon Tea DSP
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip marker
Other: Scallop border edge punch, round tab punch

Have just found out that Tui's favourite foods are curry & pumpkin so changed my mind what making for the farewell dinner to Chicken & Baked Pumpkin - very nice, so click HERE to preview the recipe.
