Other: Hemp twine, dimensionals, clear D block (Dawn's shadow effect)

Thanks for poppin' in :)

Soft Holly candle

This was the 2nd project from our CIA event last weekend & was inspired by Tracee Jones sneak peek of her June class on her blog which was a card but I thought wow that would make a great candle.

Clare Stirling from our team was in charge of this project & they turned out so much better than I/we could have envisaged.

Stamp sets: Soft Holly (wheel), Sincere Salutations, Spotlight on Christmas
Ink: Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red, Real Red (marker)
Other: Tag punches, hemp twine, heat tool, Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain ribbon
Technique: Stamping on candles

Fabulous friend

My friend Judy has had some to put it mildly some upsetting news this week but she's still found time to be making cards & dropping them in your letter box which is always lovely to find at 7pm at night when arriving home from work & it's dark & gloomy.

I just love all the layers & embellishments - thanks Judy & I hope life starts throwing you a few straight balls - you so deserve it!!

Corrosive Challenge 14

Well my lovely SBS sister Janet is upto the 14th Corrosive Challenge - if you haven't entered before you should as she always has a little something for the winner (who I might add is randomly drawn).

This weeks challenge is to make a sympathy card with flowers - easy & dare I say it handy to have.

I've made a card using the poor man's versions for some of my lovely team mates who as yet don't own 5th Avenue Floral. This is a take/case on this card using Embrace Life. I think it's worked out rather well.

Stamp set: Embrace Life, Sincere Salutations
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Urban Oasis DSP
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray
Other: Large oval punch, gray taffeta ribbon, dimensionals

Wheely good fun

This card is a really easy card as it uses a wheel, ink, co-ordinating ribbon & a "saying". I was rapt to see the jumbo wheel It's Beautiful return to the new catalogue (last here in last year's Spring mini). Its a great wheel for a scrapbook layout too.

Stamp set/s: Sincere Salutations, It's Beautiful (jumbo wheel)
Paper: Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink: Rose Red, Basic Black
Other: 1" Rose Red DS ribbon, Dazzling diamonds glitter

Debbie does Christmas

Debbie Lamb is the newest member of my team WOW paperKRafters (WOW = WOW & WOW = Way Out West) as most of us live in West Auckland & Debbie is no exception living in West Harbour.

She's been really KReative lately looking at this month's stamp sets on special especially Crazy for Christmas & Snow Flurries. Both are extra great value with the 20% off.

I just think this first one is such a great idea - a card plus FOOD!

Should you want to order any of these stamp sets contact Debbie HERE or myself HERE.

Tracee's incredibly lovely tree

Tracee Jones from Waihi has made this absolutely lovely Christmas card which I was the very lucky recipient of at our Regional training. It's just perfect for Christmas & has certainly received lots of ohhs at workshops lately when I bring it out.

I just read somewhere recently, that Lovely As a Tree is Stampin' Up!'s no. 1 stamp set & I agree it is extremely versatile stamp set to own & create with.

WCMD - Pretty in Pink

Well it's EXACTLY one year since I signed up to be a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! My first event was WCMD last year; one year on and I've been on TV - well I wonder what the coming year will bring??

Just had a small event tonight of my regulars tonight plus welcome along Heather for the first time. We made 2 cards - one I thought appropriate for WCMD a Thinking of You card plus a Christmas one which I will post later in the weekend (as I am seriously sleep deprived & I'm off for regional training down the line tomorrow - yah a day for me to stamp).

Stamp sets: Bud Basics, Basics Outline (Wheel), Sincere Salutations
Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, certainly Celery
Other: Certainly Celery wide & narrow grosgrain ribbon, Pretty in Pink narrow grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

Cutting instructions etc:
Chocolate Chip: an A5 sheet, 5-5/8 x 1", 3-1/8 x 2-1/2"
Pretty in Pink: 5-5/8 x 3-7/8", 2-7/8 x 2-1/4"
Whisper White: 2-3/4 x 2-1/8"

Only tricky bit is I have wheeled in Pretty in Pink on the Pretty in Pink card stock with the Basics outline wheel - which is hard to see in the photo.

So a happy WCMD to all - yes it's certainly a time to CELEBRATE for some and a time think of others (I am going to send this to one of the other SU! demos from NZSU blog who has recently lost her father).

Get well soon mum

Stampin Up and Garden Whimsy
Yes my mum is back in hospital with pneumonia - a bit close for comfort this time but she's a fighter all right & constantly shocks the doctors with her survival - they often predict her impending death. As she likes to say you can't kill a weed!

She loved this card I made for Aunty June's birthday so I thought I would give her, her own glittering butterfly especially as I am doing a spinner class this week - this would be a wee refresher but they're really easy & fun & very effective - especially when the spinning object is covered in lots & lots of glitter!

Stampin Up and Garden Whimsy and Daisy Fields
Stamp sets: Garden Whimsy, Sincere Salutations, Daisy Field (wheel)
Card stock: Pixie Pink, White (non- SU)
Ink: Basic Black, Pixie Pink
Other: Dazzling diamonds glitter, dimensionals, word window punch, small coins, bold brights water colour crayons, blender pen, scallop circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch

Masculine Cards

Don't you hate them? Well that was the theme at my upline's card class this week. I think that may have been something to do with Father's day looming but saying that we didn't actually make a Father's day card, so I'll have to think of something for Pete for his dad all by myself.

Jacque got us to make 2 items that Shelli demonstrated at this year's convention. As my team knows I'm not a great fan of Wanted & I have my own nick name for it but it's starting to grow on me but I do love the designer paper that "matches it" - Outlaw and it's colour combo.

I changed the sentiment on the card as one of my colleagues Harry was leaving us to go work at North Shore Hospital lab.

Stamp set/s: Wanted, Sincere Salutations, Weathered (BG)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Confetti Cream, Outlaw DP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Sage Shadow
Other: Cropodile, jumbo eyelets (pewter), vintage brads, crop-o-dile, hemp twine

Definitely best wishes Harry - enjoy not travelling over the bridge & the FREE parking!
