Bud Basics going, going, gone

This is one of my favourites, here's a few creations I've KReated with it and it has a co-ordinating wheel Basic Outline which is also retiring. I'll be back tomorrow night with another set!

Casing Clara - SBS Challenge

Whoever would have thought that it would be a week before I could return to the latest challenge.

As time is of the essence now I'm choosing cards to case that I have a pretty good case in my card box. I'm still going to work my way up from the bottom of the list so for no. 2 it's Clara's turn - not sure why she's MIA but hopefully she comes back soon as she is a very talented stamper. This is HER CARD I have chosen to case & this is mine taught to me by the very fabulous Anabel Welch from my team who is also been missing lately. If you click on the link for Buckle Cards you will see where Anabel got her inspiration from, but a great colour combo.

I do hope the missing 2-some are both well!

Stamp set: Bud Basics, Warmest Regards
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore
Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Whisper White
Other: Word window punch, chocolate & turquoise grosgrain ribbon
Technique: Buckle Card

KWerner Colour Challenge 33

This one is so far from my comfort zone but Kristina you're a genius - the colours work really well.

Other: Dimensionals, Celery grosgrain ribbon

Stampin Up and Bud Basics
Now I can do some blog hopping & see everyone's amazing creations!

Colour Challenge 30

Kristina's Colour Challenge was actually a challenge as I didn't have any Sahara Sand so I used Kraft instead but in my scan it almost looks Sahara Sand. I love this duvet she's taken the colours from as I love greens as they're so soothing - so hope my card inspires the same sentiment.

Stamp sets: Bud Basics, Outline jumbo wheel, Sweet Shapes
Ink: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Whisper White Craft
Card stock: Kraft, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Other: Corner rounder punch (can't wait for my pre-order to get my scallop edge punch!), white EP, wide Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, mini glue dots, white Signo gel pen

Thanks for looking

WCMD - Pretty in Pink

Well it's EXACTLY one year since I signed up to be a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! My first event was WCMD last year; one year on and I've been on TV - well I wonder what the coming year will bring??

Just had a small event tonight of my regulars tonight plus welcome along Heather for the first time. We made 2 cards - one I thought appropriate for WCMD a Thinking of You card plus a Christmas one which I will post later in the weekend (as I am seriously sleep deprived & I'm off for regional training down the line tomorrow - yah a day for me to stamp).

Stamp sets: Bud Basics, Basics Outline (Wheel), Sincere Salutations
Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, certainly Celery
Other: Certainly Celery wide & narrow grosgrain ribbon, Pretty in Pink narrow grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

Cutting instructions etc:
Chocolate Chip: an A5 sheet, 5-5/8 x 1", 3-1/8 x 2-1/2"
Pretty in Pink: 5-5/8 x 3-7/8", 2-7/8 x 2-1/4"
Whisper White: 2-3/4 x 2-1/8"

Only tricky bit is I have wheeled in Pretty in Pink on the Pretty in Pink card stock with the Basics outline wheel - which is hard to see in the photo.

So a happy WCMD to all - yes it's certainly a time to CELEBRATE for some and a time think of others (I am going to send this to one of the other SU! demos from NZSU blog who has recently lost her father).

Easter Treat Part 2

Well it was card class tonight and my friend Julie was the only attendee :-(

As it was her first time maybe that was a good thing, we managed to make the acetate triangle box filled up with Cadbury mini eggs this time, a bag-a-lope for Easter using Bunny Hugs which is in the current Summer Mini catalogue and as she had a birthday tomorrow we made a buckle card using the incredibly versatile Bud Basics stamp set which my friend & SU! demo Anabel Welch taught me to make last week (only alteration in our card is we changed from Tempting Turquoise to Pixie Pink as I didn't have a TT ink pad).

Cardstock & inks for the projects:
Happy birthday buckle card: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Chocolate Chip
My bag-a-lope: Barely Banana, Pretty In Pink, Creamy Caramel
Julie's bag-a-lope: Apricot Appeal, Lavender Lace

You can probably see the Easter eggs in Julie's bag-a-lope example better than mine.

2-5-7-10 box - First attempt

Normally the SU demo team I am part of makes different boxes - we normally score every line at 2.75 inches, but thought I'd have a go with this box. I followed the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers which per usual was easy to follow. Next time I'll chop a bit off the end of the card stock to resemble the American size better, as it was a bit too much left inside the inner flap. I also removed the guard from my corner rounder to do the scalloped edge. I still can't believe that SU! are retiring this punch as it's such great value at $15.95 & has the 2 functions. If you want to see how to use the punch for a scalloped edge CLICK here.

The American Card stock size is 8.5 x 11 inches & our card stock is an A4 size which is approx. 8.25 x 11.75 inches.

Card stock: Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, Cranberry Crisp
Inks: Certainly Celery, Cranberry Crisp, Apricot Appeal
Stamps: Bud Basics & Basic Outline jumbo wheel (both in the summer mini catalogue)
Accessories: Cranberry Crisp stitched ribbon, corner rounder and 3mm hand held circle punch
Adhesive: Snail & Sticky Strip
