Life's a breeze

is one of those FUN sets that I'll be really sad to see go - it's perfect for embellishing beach scrap book layouts.

But it's making way for the new & the new is FABULOUS (I was very lucky to see the new IB+C in real life yesterday as my demonstrator copy arrived for me).

This was a fabulous swap I received at Convention in May so I'd better share it with you before the set is retired for real. Created by Cheryl O'Bree from Australia. My apologies Cheryl I seemed to have chopped the RHS of the card off when taking it's piccie.

I love this card!!

This was the 2nd project that we made at the 3D class this week a diorama card and my fabulous upline Jacque taught me this card.

The card is easy to create just requires a bit of cutting to really add some 3D punch but isn't it gorgeous. The windows have been created with the large and small tag punches (but you can also use the circle punches).

The card lies flat for posting so you have to be careful that no excess adhesive is behind any of the cut-outs which is where the 2-way glue pen comes into it's own for gluing down small bits (as well as glitter).

Tangerine II

Can you believe this 2 posts in 2 days with my least favourite in-colour!

One of the great things about being a demonstrator is that SU! provide us with ideas for workshops etc - this is my take on one of their ideas for August. I just had to make it as it uses my favourite stamp set Cheep Talk & it was so easy as they provided all the cutting dimensions for me. I just swapped Tangerine Tango for Pumpkin Pie as I'd been so mean about TT & it works great & I used my markers to stamp the bird up.

The card that never ends

This is a cool project & it certainly gets a lot of ohhh - there seems to be a lot of different versions on the web but this is my compilation of them all and is what my upline Jacque taught me - reading them all, this is supposed to be the "easiest way".

You need 4 pieces of 6x3" card stock, which you score at 1-½" & 4-½" vertically & also at 1-½" horizontally. Loosen the score lines gently.

Butt 2 pieces of the card stock with the central score line lying horizontally - it should look like a 6x6" square. Add lots & lots of adhesive to the 4 corners. Then overlay on top exactly the other 2 pieces of card stock with their middle score lines lying in a different orientation. I hope the diagram below is explanatory.
To me the trick to make the never ending card move/never end is to fold back the behind piece - it should look like a H.
I've then decorated as below. Confused come to a class at my house in August (date & time to be announced) & see how easy it really is.

Fancy Folds Part 1

This was the first card my class attendees made yesterday (hi ladies) & they all did so well!

This is what I call the secret compartment card as there's a trick to find the middle compartment - the only problem is the person receiving the card doesn't know it's there either but it's a very cool card.

2 challenges in one

Well the new Corrosive Challenge by Janet Rossi is out tomorrow & it's a sketch challenge. I must admit I've never done one before & it made it easier to create a card. So when I saw Kristina Werner had her 54th colour challenge up, I thought let's try & combine it with another sketch challenge - so off to Mojo Monday for their latest offering & yes it works. Janet you sure do rock for making me do the first one.

Lots of RAKs

Lucky me so many Random Acts of Kindnesses/thank you gifts in one day. These are from some of my fellow demonstrators.
