More butterflies

This is known as the 7's box it is a piece of A4 scored at 7,14,21,28 & 7, 14 cm. I really like it & the fact it makes such a sturdy wee box, this one was filled with heart shaped soaps, a wee stamp & a wee ink pad & was one of the demonstration items I did at a work shop recently.

The card stock has been wheeled with the Kindness wheel to, to make a subtle background.

Stamp sets: Flight of the Butterfly, Kindness wheel
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Stazon white
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Vellum Paper
Punches: Butterfly, scallop oval
Other: Dimensionals, stamp-a-ma jig, acetate, mini glue dots, fire rhinestone brads.

Peek-a-boo

I know it's been awhile since I blogged but gosh life seems to go so fast lately. This is the workshop card Miah & her friends made last weekend at her workshop. As the attendees were approx. 6 years old I wanted something that was cute but hopefully couldn't fail & it didn't! Or they were very clever which was also true.

Cutting measurements:
Top mat (Melon Mambo or Marina Mist) 6.5 x 10.5 cm
Whisper White 6.8 x 12 cm
Basic Black 10" x 7" - love that our cutter has inches & cm

There is a wee trick to the card & I mucked up my first demo so that meant no one else did - they all learnt from my mistake :)
  1. Scallop border the whisper white piece - this width should be exactly the right width to give entire scallops.
  2. The trick is to punch out your scallop circle on the top mat by inserting your punch from the top as far down as it goes & centred.
  3. Then attach to Whisper White - with your 1-3/8" circle punch from the side punch a hole in the centre of the scallop.
  4. Attach to Basic Black & punch out a hole with the 1-1/4" circle - this gives a wee black frame.
  5. Insert another whisper white mat inside.
  6. Stamp a small image - glitter it up.
  7. Place around the image a scallop frame.
Inside the card

Stamp sets: Flight of The Butterfly, Short & Sweet
Ink: Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Basic Black
Paper: Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Basic Black, Whisper White
Punches: Scallop border, scallop circle, 1-3/8" circle, 1-1/4" circle
Other: Basic Black 1/8" taffeta, 2-way glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter

Inspired by Jenny Moors

Jenny is a fabulous English SU! demo & I bought one of her projects ages ago - even before I got the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set as it looked so fabulous.

Jenny's original project used Bella Bleu DSP, so much to my surprise SU! announced a special on designer series papers the same week I was running this class & I'm really glad they did as I love Jenny's box & cards in Raspberry Tart & it's matching colours.

Stamp sets: Flight of the Butterfly, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart DSP
Punches: scallop circle, 1-3/8" circle, 1-1/4" circle, scallop eyelet border, butterfly
Other: Stamp-a-ma jig, dimensionals, white taffeta ribbon

And here's the 4 cards to go inside - these were so much fun to make
So do contact Jenny if you've missed my class and would like the instructions or request me to repeat the class as it is a FABULOUS project and don't forget the 40% off selected designer series paper deal closes this coming Tuesday night - if you'd like to order some my e-mail details are on the LHS of my blog. If you sign up for my Monthly newsletter all specials & promotions will end up in your Inbox as they happen or are announced.

Simple thank you cards

I created these wee cute cards at my mock workshop I ran for my downline last Sunday - all the cutting instructions were just waiting for me on the demo site which is what I wanted to show them that all the resources they need are given to us.

I think these are really cute I just need to work on my piercing of the butterfly's flight.

Stamp set: Flight of The Butterfly
Ink: Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Kraft, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Other: Scallop Edge punch, paper piercer, butterfly punch

A gift for me

This is the very lovely gift that my upline Jacque gave to her immediate downline for Christmas - isn't it pretty - she's covered a small round tin with Tea Party DSP, punched holes with the Crop-a-dile, set jumbo eyelets & decorated it & voila a ribbon holder!

So pretty - thank you Jacque!!!

Lots of RAKs

Lucky me so many Random Acts of Kindnesses/thank you gifts in one day. These are from some of my fellow demonstrators.

From Delys Cram - she's covered a Felt Flower Fusion tin with Good Morning Sunshine DSP and included some really sweet gift cards, created with Cheep Talk & Bright Delights rub-ons & YES chocolate inside.
From Jennifer Montgomery a special treat holder, love the acetate which has been stamped with Fresh Cuts background stamp.
From Karen Williamson a lovely card created with Thoughts & Prayers & also another cute acetate treat holder. Must admit not too many kisses left.
From Michelle Cave a beautifully decorated soap with kiwi kiss card stock & ribbon which is a snap for the soap colour & some lovely images from Flight of The Butterfly.

Thanks girls they're beautiful & I feel very honoured to receive them.

Pull here

to see the butterfly fly!!

WOW I've been wanting to make a Waterfall Card for ages & my fabulous upline Jacque showed us how on Wednesday. It was so easy but I do love what she chose for us to create with.

Before this I wouldn't have said I was a Bella Rose DSP fan but have totally changed my mind, so I'll be ordering some of this before the free designer paper promo runs out in 7 days time!

I hope you can visualise those butterflies flying.
